This single story building was constructed to provide training for the home use of renal dialysis machines. The scope of this project included the demolition of an existing building with parking area, and subsequent construction of a concrete slab on grade with load bearing autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block perimeter walls. AAC blocks were chosen for their superior structural and insulating characteristics.
Light gauge metal roof trusses were covered with steel decking and IsoBoard thermal insulation. A weather-tight standing seam metal roof system was installed between the masonry parapets on each gable end. Metal stud and drywall partitions finished the interior which includes six training rooms, multiple doctor and support offices, and a conference room. The exterior stucco finish and architectural details compliment the extensive landscaping.
